Lots of riding

Our trip ended today with a short 6 hours ride from southeastern Ohio to Michigan. We spent the last 4 days riding through the beautiful Appalachian mountains. I wish I could have stopped at all picture-worth place, but it would have taken 4 days to ride 100 miles. Everything in Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia is beautiful. There is no bad ride there.

Little Oak campground

We spent our night at Little Oak campground. Our sure was by the lake and camp hosts. They were a very nice couple that along with being very friendly, offered us free firewood and coffee in the morning. Today we are heading towards the Appalachian trail.

Today we rode through Blue Ridge Parkway. Some amazing views and roads there.

Trans-America Trail (TAT)

In 3 days we will be heading down to Tennessee to ride 3 days in the Appalachian. Our adventure will start in the vicinities of Gatlinburg, TN, where we enter the Great Smokey mountains. From there we head northeast toward West Virginia, riding through North Carolina, and Virginia. At some point our path will cross Highway 250, which will bring us back all the way to Toledo, OH.

Winter ride

Living in Michigan make us starve for a decent ride for months. I was able to ride in an unusual "warm" (45F) day in January. I took mostly back roads to explore natural beauty and get close to nature and peace.
